The weekend brought a warm, golden glow across the town, perfectly setting the stage for a private, intimate gathering at the Khan residence to celebrate the official Khitbah. The house was decorated with delicate white orchids and soft pastel drapes, filling the space with a simple, understated elegance that reflected both families' preference for modesty.
Only immediate family members were present. Auntie Mariam sat beside Sumayya on the main velvet sofa, holding her hand with affectionate warmth, while Layla excitedly captured photos of the arrangements on her phone. Across the room, Farhan sat beside Uncle Imran, engaged in a quiet, friendly discussion about the upcoming Nikkah timeline and venue options.
